The Calusa Crown is an Offshore Triple Crown Series exclusive to the Southwest Florida area. Born from the idea of local anglers and tournament directors; the Calusa Crown is the first of its kind, promising to bring positive recognition and exposure to the tournament fishing our area has to offer.

 

The Calusa Crown is composed of three tournaments:

1. Boca Grande Bottom Blast (Boca Grande, FL-April/May 2025)

2. Suncoast Snapper Slapper (Marina Jacks Sarasota, FL- June 19-21, 2025)

3. Sarasota Offshore Shootout (SaraBay Marina Sarasota, FL- July 10-12, 2025)

 

The following are requirements to be eligible to be crowned the Calusa Crown Champion:

1. Must enter the $3,000 team entry fee for the Calusa Crown (90% of the entry fees collected will go into the overall jackpot).

2. Must participate in the final leg of the Calusa Crown which will be the Sarasota Offshore Shootout.

3. Must participate in either the Boca Grande Bottom Blast or Suncoast Snapper Slapper (we highly recommend in participating in all three tournaments to accumulate more points).

4. All teams most follow each individual tournaments rules.

5. If you are disqualified from any tournament, you will automatically be disqualified from the Calusa Crown Series.

 

Calusa Crown Scoring

Teams will receive 100 pts for 1st and 50 pts for 2nd place from each tournament’s main division. Please note Calcutta placement does not count towards any points. Grand Overall Winners will receive an additional 50 pts. In the addition of a tie, the boat that reached the total amount of scored points first at the final tournament will be declared winner. 

 

Calusa Crown Winner

The Calusa Crown Champion will be announced at the Calusa Crown Wrap Up party on July 19th. We will announce the winner live at that event.
